Lyndon Hopkins

Chief Operating Officer

Lyndon Hopkins is a geologist with more than 30 years’ experience in gold exploration, development and production. Mr Hopkins was Chief Operating Officer of Equigold NL’s Ivory Coast operations and managed the in-country aspects of the project development and feasibility study for the Bonikro Gold Mine which commenced production in 2008. More recently, he was Mine Manager for the construction of Regis Resources Ltd’s Rosemont Gold Mine.

He has been involved with numerous gold operations in Australia and Africa in various roles with Equigold and Regis. 

Matthew Wilcox

Chief Development Officer

Matthew Wilcox directly manages the construction of West African’s Sanbrado Gold Mine. Mr Wilcox is highly experienced in the gold mining construction industry in West Africa, having spent the past eight years working for Nord Gold SE, which operates nine gold mines globally, including three mines in Burkina Faso and one mine in Guinea.

Mr Wilcox was Project Director for the construction of Nord Gold’s 4Mtpa Bissa Gold Project and 8Mtpa Bouly Gold Project, both located in Burkina Faso. He was General Manager of the 6Mtpa LEFA Gold Project in Guinea, and most recently was Project Director for the construction of the 12Mtpa Gross Gold Project in Siberia, Russia.

Mr Wilcox also worked with engineering firms Lycopodium and Minproc based in Perth. He holds Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry) and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degrees from Curtin University, Perth.

Padraig O'Donoghue

Chief Financial Officer

Padraig O’Donoghue has extensive experience in the mining industry and has held CFO and Company Secretarial positions with several private and ASX listed mining and contracting companies, including Consolidated Rutile, VDM, Navigator, Jabiru and Barminco. Mr O’Donoghue’s career has included roles with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Vancouver Canada and with Placer Dome and Barrick in senior management and operational positions in Australia and internationally.

Mr O’Donoghue holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada and is a Chartered Accountant.

Vincent Morel

GM Exploration and new projects

Vincent Morel has more than 25 years of experience in mining, including 20 years of experience in Africa. Among career highlights to date was his involvement with the discovery of Randgold’s +10Moz gold Morila gold mine in Mali.

Joanne Thompson

Sustainability Manager

Joanne Thompson has more than 10 years of mining experience, including roles with Newmont Mining and leading international resource consultancy SRK in Denver, Colorado specializing in areas of environment and community engagement in USA, Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Republic of Congo.
Her primary responsibilities are to advance the development of the Company’s community engagement policies and programs, establish and implement environmental management systems (including compliance and monitoring), and manage the overall sustainability plan.

Ms. Thompson’s previous roles include Senior Closure and Reclamation Planner, Mine Operations Environmental Officer, and Environmental Officer positions.

Pierre Tapsoba

National Director

Dr Pierre Tapsoba is a Burkinabé national and a PhD trained geologist with more than 40 years of experience. He is a former government minister, and he has developed strong local relationships.

Jean-Bertrand Reinle

Burkina Faso General Manager of Administration

Jean-Bertrand Reinle has previously worked in Burkina Faso with Nordgold, where he held senior management positions as Director of Security for the company’s operations in Burkina and as alternate General Manager at the Bissa Gold Mine. Mr Reinle also held senior management positions within the French Infantry and French Foreign Legion.

Todd Giltay

Finance Manager

Todd Giltay is a finance professional who has 16 years’ experience with Barrick (Australia Pacific) Pty Ltd.
Barrick Gold is the world’s largest gold producer, in its prime the company produced almost 7.8 million ounces of gold annually of which the Australia Pacific region contributed around 1.9 million ounces.
