Lyndon Hopkins

Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer - commenced 2015

Lyndon is a geologist with more than 35 years’ experience in gold exploration, development and production in Australia and Africa. He was Chief Operating Officer of Equigold NL’s Ivory Coast operations and managed the in-country aspects of the project development and feasibility study for the Bonikro Gold Mine, which commenced production in 2008. He was also Mine Manager for the construction of Regis Resources Ltd’s Rosemont Gold Mine.

Lyndon has been West African’s Chief Operating Officer since 2015 and joined the board in 2019. Lyndon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Western Australia and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
